Mao Zedong never looked so good hanging in this soon to be opened eatery. Piggy's Restaurant, located in Scarborough, is set to open at the end of June. Set high above the diners, this fabulous graphic depiction of the Communist leader and other icons of the era will transform the restaurant patrons back in time to a theme packed adventure enhancing their dining experience. This is another Screen Art Wall Mural installation.    A Thirst for Riches: Carpets from the East in Paintings from the West draws from the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, points to the active history of trade between Europe and Muslim civilizations. Peter Cheng and David Bowe of Screen Art screen printed directly on gallery walls for the exhibit, the scale of which could only be described as considerable.   |
