The Royal Ontario Museum's newest show is set to open in several days. "Afterimage" is a collection of stunning photographs from modern photographer Tod Ainslie's vision from the War of 1812 and sites of historical significance pretaining to the war. ROM Graphic Artist, Margot Thompson's stellar graphics bring the entire exhibition to life with screen printed labels for each picture, a map which covers and entire 12' x 18' wall and digital images taken of Tod's Cameras. Be sure and check out the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic's new feature show "Rule Britannia" which opens soon and celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth's accesion to the throne with a spectacular gallery full of cermics related to the Royal Family over the last 400 years. Soon to open at the Art Gallery of Ontario will be the Berenice Abbott Photography Exhibiton which will highlite the long and distinguished career of one of the most important and long living American Women Photographers. Her life spanned almost 100 years from 1998 - 1991 from the Surrealist Avant- Garde movement in the 1930's Europe to Exhitions at the Musem of Modern Art in New York. Her black and white photographs include fantastic city scapes. We installed the title wall, chronology and secondary title wall today for Marilyn Bouma-Pyper, graphic artist extrordinaire with the AGO. Marilyn is shown above.
